Church's
2010 National Scout Jamboree mission project.
Each year approximately 500 million Africans
contract
Malaria from mosquito bites as they sleep and
one million die. No reliable vaccine exists. For
$10, Nothing But Nets can send a net to a family in
Africa. Nothing But Nets is also the first
International BSA Good Turn Project. See:

Scouts
love to show off Jamboree Service Patches (JSPs).
So, 4,000 Scouts will be given JSPs at our UMC
Scouting Ministry booth plus 6,000 more to each
Scout and leader who attends our
August 1st UMC worship service.
Everyone is also encouraged to order the JSPs for $5
and Staff JSPs for $10 each to support Nothing But
Nets. In addition, 200 numbered gold border patches
are $20 each. These are to share or trade.
